It's been almost 5 months since Yoke Ling and I last covered 一直很安靜 by 阿桑. We really wanted to do more covers but as a working adult, it makes setting aside time for making song covers a more challenging task to me.
I don't know how suddenly the idea of doing a cover of Heaven by Bryan Adams popped into my mind. Back in 2012 when I was watching Sam Tsui and Kurt Schneider's cover, I came across his cover of Heaven.
I had no idea who's the original singer of the song. And later on found out that this song was released in 1984 - before I was even born (perhaps this could be a hits in my dad's era).
I think listening to this song in a ballad style is very comfortable. Sometimes I bumped into the song sung as a cover by other singer on radio. I also came across Jessica and Tiffany's version on YouTube and I knew that's the version which I wanted to make.
Yoke Ling and I met in late April for making this cover but unfortunately, I had no choice but to postpone the recording due to the faulty pedal that has been problematic since I was still in my hall band and this time I rectified but couldn't solve the problem. This urged me to just buy the band a new pedal from Qoo10 for $22.99. Well sometimes I really don't know why is the band not getting a new one, aren't they annoyed by the malfunctioning pedal?
For the second time, we met again in mid May and finally recorded a cover successfully. Hope you like it!
