Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child (Cover by Gary Song & Javin Tham)

Inspired by Sam Tsui and Kurt Schneider, Gary and I were covering another progressive house song Don't You Worry Child the acoustic way.

The original artist of the song is a Swedish electronic dance group, called Swedish House Mafia, and it often reminds me of my exchange in Sweden.

The fast piano playing at the interludes and last chorus is the selling point of this cover, and that really gave me a big headache. The most difficult part is when I had to harmonize and play those fast notes at the same time. Since the hardest part is at the latter part of the song, it's really a waste of time when you got everything done correctly but screwed up the last part. We really have done a lot of re-recording, as I played the last part wrongly sometimes and Gary kept singing the lyrics wrongly, to the extent that I had to charge my light on the spot, however in the end we just didn't bother using lighting anymore, to save time.

Pretty upset about the time wasting, but we aimed for the best cover that we can present. And I guess our effort paid off, no, my effort actually, LOL. I spent another loads of time editing the audio and video. Audio is the more crucial part, as the moderate echo and graph phase shifter effects are to be added to groom the keyboard sound.

Hope you enjoy our new cover. like and subscribe if you like it.
