Gurney Drive Café @ Suntec City

Ok, a lot of you, especially those who're from Penang will be thinking the wrong thing after seeing the blog title.

Gurney Drive Café is actually a restaurant in Singapore featuring famous Penang street food, as Penang serves its role as the street food capital of Malaysia (my goodness, I made myself so proud of being a Penangite. Haha...). It has currently 2 outlets, one at Jubilee Entertainment Complex, Ang Mo Kio and the other here, Suntec City.

Alex and I who're going to visit the PC Show 2011 later, found this restaurant while we're scouting for place to take our dinner near the Fountain of Wealth. I've not been back to Penang for about 4 months, let's make it an excuse for taking dinner here - to taste Penang.

As noticed, there're familiar images of certain locations of Penang on the walls in the restaurant. Ah... my longing for home was once again triggered...

Penang Cendol 檳城煎蕊 ($2.50)

Penang Koay Teow Soup 檳城粿條湯 ($5.50)

Gurney Special Fried Rice 檳城特式炒飯 ($6.90)

Penang Fried Koay Teow 檳城炒粿條 ($6.90)

By the way, coincidentally both of us are Penangites, and we'll meet another Penangite later during PC Show.
